Wonders of the Wii

The Nintendo Wii is a beautiful thing. We got a Wii on Friday, January 19, 2007 and have been playing it every day since. It comes with Wii Sports that has Tennis, Baseball, Bowling, Golf, and Boxing. My personal favorite being Tennis. Can you imagine standing in the middle of your living room swinging your arms and your movements being detected in the game? Pretty revolutionary. The motion sensor is awesome too. If the ball is to your bankhand and you swing forward, guess what? It's a missed shot. Brent is currently boxing against the computer Miis and it's great listening to his commentary. Now boxing is tiring... 3 rounds of 3 minutes all while bobbing, weaving, and hitting. It is a LOT of work.

Rayman Raving Rabbids is also a brilliant game and that is where the bunny comes from... they are pyscho bunnies! It is full of mini games that range from milking cows to bunny shoot outs. Very creative and just pure fun.

WarioWare Smooth Moves is hilarious. You pull nose hairs out, shake fruit flies off of bananas, and saw wood. I never knew there were so many ways to hold the Wii mote and some of the graphics on that game are just plain silly... you can tell they wanted people to chuckle at some things and it definitely works!

Brent has Zelda but that is purely his thing. I don't have the attention span for it! All I am saying is... the Wii is meant to be shared. It is sooo much fun that we have had three Wii parties in a week.

Wii want everyone to know it's worth.

Silly Lydia

I guess it all started last night about 10:30 pm. Brent and I were watching the snow out of his big windows and he was so intent that ... I planned an attack! My intention was to jump on Brent and play. Oh well. I climbed up on the chair and stood on one arm, it tilted, I put one leg down and the other got scraped up something fierce. My skin was actually stuck to my pant leg so when I lifted it up a bubble of blood came with it. It was gross. Of course he has no first aid items whatsoever (which we will remedy) so I went home with paper towel on my leg wrapped in Press N Seal cling wrap! I limped home, cleaned and dressed the wound, and slept with my leg propped up. Today there are no bruises and by the end of the day it had stopped throbbing. It is about an inch long and looks like I may have scraped bone a bit. It appears to be every girl's version of a shaving nightmare! LOL. Thankfully all wounds eventually heal...

Concern is a funny thing...

I have noticed that my sister has not been calling my cell phone or on Skype since Christmas Day which is highly abnormal. I looked on her blog and she hasn't posted in about a week. She hasn't called my mom in about a week. She hasn't even logged onto Skype since 12/31/2006! So my rational (ha!) mind is concerned. Georgia has sent me a few emails in the past week. She is a bit lonely and seems to be homesick. I don't want a sad, unhappy Georgia! I want the excited girl back who was so glad and proud of her decision to go to South Korea for a year. It made coping with her absence so much easier on all of us.... knowing she was truly happy. Now all I can think about is scooping her up in a big bear hug and squeezing until she pinches me. Sounds like fun, huh? I miss her.
